The Martin County Sheriff’s Office on Friday said it’s responded to a Hobe Sound home where a man has been shot and a woman, believed to be armed, is barricaded inside.
The scene is unfolding off Southeast Parkway Drive.
The sheriff’s office said a woman shot her boyfriend and barricaded herself inside the home. She may be armed, the sheriff’s office added.
The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
“The MCSO SWAT Team, negotiators, and multiple units are staged around that street. Please expect police activity in that area until further notice,” the sheriff’s office said on its Facebook page.
Video from the Martin County Sheriff’s Office showed a large law enforcement truck outside the home, as well as a tactical robot approaching the front of the property.
